Ms. Yergen served as sole proprietor of TechComm, a technical writing firm based in Kirkland, Wash. from 1994 to 1998, where she wrote responses to more than 200 request for proposals (RFPs). Ms. Yergen’s proposals resulted in the award of more than US $1bn in gross contract awards, including corporate and U.S. federal government contracts.
Ms. Yergen is the author of Real Life 101 and Creating Job Security Through Mobility and Diversity, both published by The Graduate Group in West Hartford, Conn. Her work has included television and radio news, and more than 50 articles and columns in 20 newspapers and magazines around the world. She holds a BA in Broadcast Communications from Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow School of Communications.
